Step 1
Polish those old hurricanes and lanterns and make them festive ready.To polish for a soft finish: wash in hot, soapy water, rinse and dry. Make a paste of whiting and boiled linseed oil. Apply with a soft cloth and rub to remove tarnish. Wipe off excess paste and polish with a clean cloth.
Step 2
Place the colored stones, white sand and artificial flowers and plants at the base of the fixtures.
Step 3
Your customized lighting is ready to shine.


2. QUIRKY DANGLERS FOR YOUR WALL Materials:
a. Brass wire (0.45 mm)
b. Wire Cutter
c. Marigold flowers
d. Satin ribbon
e. Decorative Balls
Step 1
Take a small piece of wire (enough to make it into a medium sized circle) and put marigold flowers through it to complete its entire length. Bend the wire to make it into a loop (bangle). Make at least three for each dangler.
Step 2
Take the paper cut outs and punch holes into them so that the satin ribbon that pass through it. Again three paper cut outs for each dangler.
Step 3
Now we have to tie the ribbon on the bangle and pass it through the paper cut out alternatively so that we complete three. You can tie a small bell at the lower end if you want. Your dangler is ready!


3. TWINKLING GLASS JAR Materials:
a. Glass Beads (Transparent/Colored)
b. Glass Jar
c. Transparent Double sided Tape
d. Candle
e. Shiny Ribbon
Step 1
Select a glass jar, you can use any glass jar/hurricanes that you want to do up this Diwali. you can also check out some really Beautiful Hurricane from IAAH.
Step 2
Stick the glass beads (transparent/colored) randomly on the glass jar with the help of transparent DST for a colorful effect.
Step 3
Place a candle inside the jar and light it to see your glass jar twinkle up!
